Connecting Threads with ART LOVE DYE

To tell you the truth the last time I ever had any real connections with tie dye was back in fifth grade when it was an art project. Beyond that it was something that my cousin's friends wore to Grateful Dead concerts. Which wasn't bad, it just didn't connect with me. Then years later in the late 80's and through the 90's there was this mass produced crossover with stores like Intrinsic and East Meets West where they would screen print southwest images or Metal band logos on yards of machined tie dye fabric that really made me want to just distance myself from it all together.

Then an artist arrived at The Storage Unit of Terror with hand made tie dye designs that melted my brain with an intensity that all of the Central Jersey toxic waste around us never could.
his name is Jeremiah James Scott

And that's when the amazing creations by Jeremiah James Scott and Julia Gilbert of ART LOVE DYE had my complete attention

Between Julia Gilbert's astounding seamstress talents and Jeremiah James Scott's tie dye mastery they went above and beyond getting me into their art! And their very cool want to up cycle and being part of the kind of people that want to leave the world a little better place for others. And I'm all about artistic couples that are able to do what they love.

They have an Etsy store that can be reached from my homepage, and can do all  kinds of customs on various clothing and more. I'm pretty sure that if it can sewn and dyed it can definitely be done.
And here is their About us from their store site.

  ART LOVE DYE
Lovingly Created Sustainably Sourced.
There is no such thing as "away". We save the planet by diverting trash from landfills! Fast Fashion is contributing to the environmental crisis. When natural fibers, like cotton, linen and silk, or semi-synthetic fibers created from plant-based cellulose, like rayon, Tencel and modal, are buried in a landfill, in one sense they act like food waste, producing the potent greenhouse gas methane as they degrade. But unlike banana peels, you can’t compost old clothes, even if they're made of natural materials. Our goal is to divert as much of these textiles and accessories as possible from the landfills and re-manufacture them into fun and quirky, bohemian, upcycled fashion, tie dyed garments and of course we offer the quintessential Hippie Uniform the Tie Dye Shirt. Custom and bulk orders are always welcome!

Everything they make is done completely by them from scratch. So when you place an order just ask how the wait time is. And believe me having originals this cool for their very fair pricing is worth having it done right.

Custom clothing designs by Julia Gilbert and custom jewelry is available at their store site too

I have the link to ART LOVE DYE on my homepage here on the right hand side. So please pay their Etsy store a visit and make sure to tell them that Tattooed Steve from The Storage Unit of Terror sent you!
